![]() ![]() I wish there was a way to combine the two, but not sure that’s possible. On the flip side, when you ride chonky trails, the whisper will very easily eat up all those bumps, the soft sidewall effectively acts as a form of suspension, whereas the Enduro (and Vega) will bounce you around a ton. I enjoy bonking and nudging and I feel like that stuff sidewall of the enduro truly helps here, the Whisper sidewall is veryyy soft making it quite difficult to truly bonk off anything. Sidewalls - Enduro gets a half win here compared to the Whisper. The Vega has a cliff that falls off if you carve too far, Whisper just feels like it gets on an edge and holds it and you seem to “under steer” wherever you turn at high speeds but the Enduro gives deep progressive carves and I’ve been taking turns at much higher speeds than previously. The shoulders on the Enduro are incredible too, very gradual and linear and it makes HIGH SPEED CARVING unlike any other tire I’ve ridden. Enduro is a 6.5” wide tire like the Vega and it feels just as stable, has a solid flat patch for straight line speed, I haven’t noticed ANY speed wobbles on the Enduro where I would have them frequently on my Whisper. It somehow feels more stable at speed than the Whisper but also more carvey than the whisper. Shape - The enduro shape is where it truly shines. I’ve ridden approx 1200 miles on the stock Vega and then 1300 miles on a FF Whisper and just switched to the Enduro. I’ve got approximately 100 miles on the Enduro and have some pros and cons regarding the Enduro. So I just put the new TFL Enduro tire on my XR with 2500 miles on it last weekend.
